Palo Alto Networks Partners with KHUSHII to Help Uplift Communities

Three

A core pillar of the Palo Alto Networks social impact strategy is addressing needs at the intersection of education and community building—projects that contribute to making the world safer and more secure. That’s one of the reasons that building a partnership with KHUSHII was a great fit for our community investment strategy for our operations in India. We are thrilled to be a key donor for the Community Learning Centre (CLC), a community-based, quality education program at Nelagadaranahalli in Bangalore.

The program is designed to improve the learning environment, provide counseling to children for psychological and emotional wellbeing, increase parental participation, and improve classroom infrastructure. The CLC serves more than 370 students from second through eighth grade, teachers, parents, and community members. The CLC provides remedial education, psychological support, digital learning experiences and more, conducted after school hours.

This partnership also presents opportunities for Palo Alto Networks employees to make a meaningful difference in their community. Employees are able to leverage the Palo Alto Networks charitable matching program and “Dollars-for-Doers” volunteer program to make an even greater impact.

Through this initiative, we are hoping to build a stronger, more vibrant community and a better quality of life for all the students involved. According to Ranjith KP, Director Human Resources - India, “KHUSHII is doing exceptional work to help children and communities learn and thrive. KHUSHII through their network provides access to education and training that might otherwise be hard to avail to a large community. Their staff focuses on development of new skills and knowledge that can lead to increased employability and economic mobility. Enhancement of social networks and community connections, improved health and well-being through learning opportunities that promote healthy living are some of the high impact areas in the long run. We take pride in associating with KHUSHII to make this a better place for hundreds of kids.”

“As the world questions what future it wants for our children, the role of the teacher is reinforced and the importance of child education is confirmed every day. We at KHUSHII want to imbibe children with technical as well as practical knowledge of their surroundings. In achieving our vision, we are happy to partner with Palo Alto Networks,” said Harish Gosain, Executive Director, KHUSHII.

With over 800 employees in India, Palo Alto Networks recognizes our duty to be a good corporate citizen. Investing in projects and partnerships that improve lives and allow individuals to thrive and prosper helps us realize our vision of a world that is safer and more secure.
