Four years ago I was working for Microsoft when a friend told me that Palo Alto Networks was looking for a channel business manager in my region. I knew who they were, one of the coolest, most innovative and interesting companies in the world and the best in cybersecurity. And cybersecurity was an attractive industry, so I decided to try out. It was a difficult choice, as I was leaving a manager role and a fantastic team, and accepting an individual contributor role.

But for me the objective was never just about being a manager – it was about learning, self-improving, working with people and making an impact. So I wholeheartedly accepted the challenge when it was offered to me.

The IT world is fast, and all my previous roles were intense. But life at Palo Alto Networks does not compare to anything I have experienced before. And so my marathon here began. Everything was moving at speed, I started with a territory of two countries, then it grew to five. I was in my channel role for more than a year when a commercial district manager position was opened.

It was my chance to go back to what I loved most: sales and helping others grow. And I was lucky to receive what would be the most satisfying role of my career so far. I had the opportunity to have inspirational leaders, to build an amazing team and to celebrate thrilling wins across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

On August 1 I took on a new challenge as a district manager for South Eastern Europe and I am looking forward to what the future brings. Looking back at these four amazing years I must say I could have not made a better decision than joining Palo Alto Networks.

As intense as it may be, I always save my time for my family, for myself and for continuing my Ph.D. Palo Alto Networks inspires me to do better, to be better and to enjoy every step of the way. #GoPaloAltoNetworks and thank you for the opportunity you offered me!
