Your Career

We are looking for a technical, hands-on QA manager, experienced with product lifecycles from inception to end-of-life with expert knowledge of Software Quality and Release Management best practices and processes. You are a focused mindset of continuous product quality improvements around stability, functionality, performance and customer success is key. You ideally have experienced critical issue management, you can assess any problem, remain calm under pressure while providing thoughtful resolutions. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are required as you will collaborate with Engineers, Customer Advocates, Program and Product Management. As the Application  QA manager, you will be responsible for ensuring top quality for all applications of the PRISMA Cloud organization.  You will oversee and coordinate the overall testing process and projects. You will design and enhance current automation frameworks, help strategize, and improve automation test effectiveness.  You will also manage releasing and deploying new features to the production environment.

Your Impact

  • Work with product and development teams to define the overall application SQA strategy (for a specific application)

  • Provide progress status reports, resolve conflicts and raise flags about outstanding issues that should be escalated for mitigation

  • Define the key application QA metrics (KPIs)

  • Work with application QA team to execute test plans, monitoring and reporting on test execution and quality metrics

  • Working with the application scrum teams to ensure the highest quality product release/delivery

  • Define and drive the execution of CI/CD process for the applications 

  • Improve application QA processes and methodology and create measurable goals for these improvements

  • Work with product, dev and customer support teams to ensure customer issues solved in time and high quality

  • Work closely with Product, DevOps, and Agile-Scrum R&D Teams to define and provide the highest test coverage of the applications

  • Be a technical lead, You will be managing a small team at first and will require you to be very hands-on including building,deploying and testing (creating test cases and automating them) the software. Also will  include responsibility for recruiting, personal development, training and mentoring the application Scrum teams

  • Define and drive the execution of automation strategies, processes and appropriate test harnesses 

  • Communicate and collaborate with customer facing teams to resolve critical issues

Your Experience

  • Experience in managing a QA team involved in both manual and automated testing

  • QA automation experience (Backend & Frontend)

  • Hands-on experience with testing and developing test framework (this role will require you to be very hands-on)

  • Proven experience in creating and leading test strategy 

  • Proven experience with backend and frontend testing of cloud-based services

  • Evidence of experience with tools and technologies spanning Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba...), Python, C++, MySQL, GitLab

  • Convincing experience with Rest API testing at scale

  • Security background is helpful

  • Knowledge of PyTest and Robot framework is a big plus

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes would be a plus

  • Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and solving performance issues in distributed cloud software

  • Experience with an understanding of agile development and testing processes and methodologies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable communicating directly with software developers, QA Engineers, customer services representatives, sales engineers, and executives

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Self-learner and ability to learn new technologies in a relatively short time

  • Team player, with a high ability to work independently

  • Ability to work under pressure with extreme deadlines, prioritize projects & tasks, and maintain focus and a sense of humor in a dynamic environment
