Your Career

The Director, Product Marketing for Cortex will be the voice of the Cortex products, including XDR, XSOAR and Xpanse. This role will play a key role in planning and executing the product marketing strategy for Cortex product offering. You will own positioning, messaging, content creation and sales enablement and work closely with stakeholders from product management, marketing, sales, and technology partners to achieve business and market success.

Your Impact

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop targeted messaging, content and campaign strategy to create awareness, demand, adoption and engagement for Cortex products

  • Build strong product marketing content, including blogs, videos, and presentations.

  • Translate product capabilities into simple, compelling messages that resonate with customers and build awareness

  • Develop messaging and lead marketing initiatives aligned to buyers and user communities

  • Present at internal and external events

  • Identify metrics and drive regular communication on progress for broader marketing team 

  • Track the relevant security market and competitive landscape, in collaboration with product, marketing, and sales leadership

  • Collaborate on and lead sales enablement activities, both for Palo Alto Network sellers and Partners

  • Identify the tools or capabilities needed to increase sales and channel impact and performance

  • Be a subject matter expert and a go-to resource for the sales field

Your Experience

  • Product Marketing / Product Management. At least ten (10) years of product marketing or product management experience. You'll need to have owned or executed full lifecycle product launches.

  • Security Technology.  An intermediate understanding of endpoint, network, identity and analytics technologies security operations roles and best practices.  Knowledge of EDR, XDR, NTA/NDR, UEBA, SOAR, ASM or SIEM technologies is desirable. Knowledge of Cloud security and cloud operating systems patterns is desirable

  • Collaborator. Proven track record of working with matrixed & cross functional teams and establishing strong relationships with product, marketing and field sales teams.  

  • Storyteller and presenter. An ability to break down complex concepts into extremely simple and clear terms;  comfortable with creating and delivering presentations in a range of environments, from industry conferences to customer briefings to internal teams and leadership. 

  • Writer.  Strong written communication is necessary to develop extremely simple and clear messaging, collateral, tools and content for customers, partners & sales.  

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is desirable.
