As a Channel Systems Engineer (Prisma SASE Specialist), you will be responsible for presenting Prisma Access and SASE solutions to our most strategic and impactful channel partners.

As a Specialist Channel SE, you will be tasked with delivering training, best practices and demonstrations of the Prisma SASE story. You will be accountable for gathering the partner’s technical requirements for new features and knowledge. As an key member of the wider Sales and Channels team, the Specialist Channel SE will align with the regional Sales teams, Channel SEs, and Channel Account Managers to create, update and deliver the partner technical enablement strategy. 

Your Impact

  • Build relationships with key partners and systems engineers across the A/NZ region
  • Focus on enablement and relationships for a number of partners, both new and existing
  • Management and creation of technical enablement plans for channel partners
  • Own, monitor, and drive technical enablement activities for assigned partner base
  • Teaches in-geo SEs and Value Added Distributors how to manage and deliver technical enablement plan for their partner base
  • Be a Prisma SASE technical expert; know SASE, networking, security, competition and channels business dynamics
  • Can walk the talk: lead lab, demo, best practices session & workshops
  • Provide on the job training for partner SE’s by allowing partner SE’s to shadow presentations and evaluation installations
  • Coordinate partner training activities with wide range of PANW field & corporate resources
  • Provide ad-hoc support for evaluations and post sales issues with partner engineers, and quickly transition them to appropriate internal resources
  • Present at channel driven marketing activities on an as needed basis
  • Assist in the selling effort to partner technical resources during new partner recruitment
  • Collaborates with other Channel SEs and in-geo SEs & AMs, trainers Qualification 

Your Experience

  • BSCS or equivalent with 3+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer, solutions architect, or technical sales 
  • Ability to understand and effectively present security platforms to technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution, often under duress
  • Familiarity working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel-centric market approach 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of cloud-delivered next generation firewalls, SAS security, SD-WAN networking
  • WAN Technologies: MPLS, MetroE, Leased Lines, Broadband
  • Tunneling protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, DMVPN
  • Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD
  • IP Routing: BGP, OSPF, Static, Network Address Translation
  • Virtualization technologies: ESX, KVM, Xen, Microsoft preferred
  • Network Security capabilities: IPS/IDS, Zone Based Firewalls
