Your Career
The SASE Architect is an individual contributor that will be a part of a small yet highly effective Customer Solutions team reporting to the Global SASE Architecture Director.
This individual and team will partner closely with the Core sales team and Systems Engineering, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure that the Global Protect solutions that Palo Alto Networks is delivering to its customers are architecturally sound and supportable. This position requires a collaborative, creative, highly technical, and business-savvy individual that is able to architect complex solutions that meet the needs of our most demanding customers.
Your Impact
- Be knowledgeable in Global Protect and Identity
- Knowledgeable in Global GP architectures
- Knowledgeable in Identity solutions to enable GP
- Enable scale as the central trusted technology advisor and lead architect of customer solutions for Prisma Access
- Increase customer satisfaction by working with Systems Engineers to architect supportable solutions while increasing Prisma Access revenue and exceeding corporate goals
- Produce and improve Prisma Access design guidelines and documentation for standard Use Cases
- Assist the SASE SE Specialist and Systems Engineering team to effectively position customer solutions which are aligned with the standard Use Cases within their prospects and customers
- Create, implement, and constantly improve the process for working with Prisma Access Stakeholders to approve customer designs which deviate from the standard Use Cases
- Lead Global Protect stakeholders including Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support to validate designs which deviate from the standard Use Cases
- Expand the breadth and number of standard Use Cases not requiring design review and approval
- Maintain bi-directional trusted advisor relationship with Product Management acting as a conduit for feature development requests based on feedback learned from the design review process
- Present to customers as our expert in Prisma Access and deployment at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from technician to CIO
Your Experience
- In-Depth knowledge of Global Protect and/or competitive offerings
- Demonstrable experience in cloud-delivered security
- BSCS or equivalent and 8+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Architect or equivalent military experience required
- Experience that emphasizes VPN, and identity
- Experience selling, demonstrating, installing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure security products and services
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams through influence
- Self-motivated
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally include the ability to engage with all levels of a partner organization
- Strong problem finding and solving skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems, and use creativity and a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, even under duress
- "Whatever it takes" attitude and motivation to do whatever necessary to assist in closing a deal
- Bilingual proficiency, preferably native or possess JLPT N1, in Japanese and fluent in written and spoken English
