Your Career:

Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch product managers to expand the team. As a SD-WAN product manager at Palo Alto Networks, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy and operations, feature functionality and roadmap. In addition to your own creativity, you will also rely on interaction with customers and partners to understand requirements and problems. You will be expected to deliver product functionality that matches Palo Alto Networks’ level of innovation. You will be involved in all stages of the feature lifecycle (conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities.

Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product related sales and marketing materials; evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.

Your Impact:

  • Ownership of the product strategy, planning, and operations

  • Feature prioritization and trade-off decision making

  • Market and customer analysis, requirements development, business case, collateral, and product positioning

  • Ability to work effectively with all areas of the organization, from engineering to sales

  • Customer engagement and relationship development for executive briefings, product evangelism, and requirements gathering

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Other engineering/technical degree, MBA preferred

  • Minimum 5 years in product management (software preferred)

  • Technical expertise in the enterprise and DC networking space required

  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle

  • Drive to design something new, innovative, and disruptive

  • Hands-on nature with very strong interest in new technology products

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Demonstrable track record of success

  • Excellent people skills, team mentality

Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum compensation (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) for this role to be located in the state of Colorado. If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $106,600/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
