Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, International Tax will work closely with the Tax Manager and be responsible for the management of all tax compliance obligations (in partnership with our compliance providers for each jurisdiction), tax provisioning and comparison to tax return, tax reporting, tax audit and use of technology in such work for all Palo Alto Networks group companies across the world excluding the US. As a team member the individual will be primarily responsible for all the necessary compliances in corporate taxation in the EMEA region and support the international tax function of the PANW Group in Provision to Return Calculations and Quarterly/ Yearly tax expense calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare separate tax calculations and workpapers for Quarterly and Yearly tax provision for all international entities.
- Coordinate with external consultants/ In -house tax team for the annual tax filing and compliance.
- Prepare the Provision to Return Workpaper with deferred Rollforward and Intercompany reconciliation along with the Tax returns and propose the true up JEs.
- Process and maintain records for all assigned entities and coordinate with the Transfer Pricing team to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
- Maintain the reconciliations for the Tax Account balances and prepare true ups JEs.
- Maintain status of each year tax filing and assist in tax payment for all assigned entities through Ariba and coordinate with AP team.
- Support Finance with direct taxes and intercompany matters in the Statutory audit process.
- Liaise with tax consultants and Finance team with queries on tax filings.
- Review notices/letters from tax authorities and assist in preparation of responses.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated tools to drive efficiency/process improvements.
- Writing technical and non-technical tax research and compliance memos.
- Work effectively with the Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing teams currently based in the US, UK, Netherlands and India.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm or large multinational group.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate income tax, tax accounting and basic understanding of transfer pricing.
- Proven level of accuracy, Integrity and willingness to roll up sleeves for processes and numbers details.
- Organized, self-motivated and cooperative attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and able to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Excel and experience working through large data sets.
- Knowledge of OneSource tax provision Tool is an advantage.
- Experience of international tax would be beneficial.
