Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to lead enterprise-wide demand forecasting, planning, and analytics, with primary ownership of S&OP and S&OE processes. This role is responsible for developing accurate, actionable demand forecasts, driving cross-functional alignment, and translating data into insights that support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical depth with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and continuously improve forecasting accuracy and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end demand forecasting across products, regions, and customer segments using statistical, causal, and judgmental forecasting methods.
Design, build, and continuously improve forecasting models, challenging curiously to enhance their effectiveness by leveraging historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.
Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes, ensuring alignment across demand, supply, financial, and product plans.
Simplify complex data by transforming it into clear insights, foresight, and executive-level narratives to support strategic decision-making.
Proactively collaborate and ensure alignment with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and Operations to achieve shared objectives.
Focus on the details by defining, tracking, and owning key performance indicators related to demand planning, forecast accuracy, bias, and planning effectiveness.
Develop and deliver executive-ready presentations and dashboards to support planning and business reviews.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, planning tools, and process maturity.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, analytics, or supply chain planning.
Proven experience building and managing statistical forecasting models and performing advanced data analysis.
Demonstrated ownership of S&OP and/or S&OE processes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools such as SAP APO, Kinaxis, Anaplan, ForecastX, Forecast Pro, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to financial and operational outcomes.
Experience in the technology or cybersecurity industry.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
