Key Responsibilities
Adapt and localise the global benefits strategy to ensure it translates effectively within the India and JAPAC context, maintaining a "Global Philosophy, Local Implementation" approach.
Lead comprehensive benchmarking exercises across all India and JAPAC entities, utilizing data from top-tier consultants to ensure our offerings remain in the a healthy percentile of the technology/GCC talent market.
Act as the primary subject matter expert on statutory requirements, while ensuring compliance with diverse regional mandates.
Manage strategic relationships with regional brokers and vendors to ensure high service standards, conducting regular performance reviews and driving cost-efficiency in renewals.
Drive the regional benefits agenda by introducing localized initiatives that address the specific cultural and lifestyle needs of employees in different JAPAC markets.
Partner closely with the People Ops and HR Technology team to optimize Workday or other HRIS platforms for benefits enrollment, ensuring a seamless and modern digital experience for all regional staff.
Analyze benefits utilization data and healthcare inflation trends to provide actionable insights and quarterly reports to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits, with a minimum of 5 years specifically managing India and JAPAC regional portfolios within a multinational setup.
Expert-level knowledge of Indian labor laws and social security regulations, combined with a strong working knowledge of India and JAPAC benefit structures and tax implications.
Proven experience in managing large-scale insurance renewals and negotiating with international brokerage firms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to build financial models and benefits cost projections in Excel.
Excellent communication skills with the cultural intelligence required to influence stakeholders across different geographies and time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist).
Experience working in a fast-paced technology or GCC (Global Capability Center) environment in India.
Hands-on experience with Workday and ServiceNow for employee query management.
A track record of managing benefits integration during mergers, acquisitions, or rapid entity expansions within Asia.
