Your Career
As a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer for Prisma AIRS, you will be a key member of the team driving the future of AI security. This critical, customer-facing role involves developing outbound technical communications, performing competitive analysis, and supporting product management to identify next-generation innovations. You will influence strategy, collaborate with marketing and sales to execute go-to-market plans, and act as a thought leader, evangelizing our products and shaping the industry.
Your Impact
Develop, refine, and execute the comprehensive technical marketing plan for AI security products.
Create, maintain, and deliver impactful technical assets, including whitepapers, demos, videos, and training for sales, customers, and partners.
Lead competitive research and testing to identify key product advantages, and effectively communicate these findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Act as a primary technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, presenting at conferences, seminars, and high-level customer briefings.
Proactively collaborate with engineering and product management to identify and address product gaps based on competitive analysis and customer feedback.
Serve as the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products, providing expert guidance to Systems Engineers on competitive positioning.
Document complex technical concepts to ensure products are well-understood and utilized to their fullest potential.
Establish and maintain a competitive test lab, including test harnesses, competitive products, and automation environments.
Your Experience
15+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, DevOps/Solution Architect, or a similar role within the network or cybersecurity industry.
Demonstrated experience with automation tools, building dashboards, and using Kubernetes and Python.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience presenting at industry events or trade shows.
Direct experience with networking or data security products.
Experience writing and editing technical documentation and operational procedures for a technical audience.
Proven ability to quickly learn and experiment with new technologies and products.
Strong customer advocacy skills with experience navigating and resolving difficult customer situations.
A fast learner with strong initiative, a sense of ownership, and a drive to get things done in a cross-functional environment.
The Team
Product Management or PDM - To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest-growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management team helps us do just that. This team provides the behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our Systems Engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in and helping to implement technical solutions based on our clients' feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $159,000 - $255,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
