The Senior Director of Global Marketing Business Operations is the strategic architect of our marketing engine. Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will serve as the primary operational partner to the marketing leadership team, ensuring that our global strategy translates into measurable revenue impact.

You will own the global marketing business rhythm, from budget orchestration and ROI modeling to cross-functional alignment with Sales and Finance. You are a "leader of leaders" who empowers the organization to move faster, work smarter, and deliver a predictable pipeline at scale.
Your Impact
Strategic Advisory & Execution: Serve as the CMO’s primary "thought partner" to translate the Marketing vision and goals into a cohesive global marketing roadmap, ensuring all AI-native product launches and brand narratives align with PANW’s long-term business objectives.
Operational Excellence: Own and optimize the CMO’s operating cadence, partnering with the Marketing leadership team, including QBRs, leadership offsites, and cross-functional syncs with Sales and Product, to drive accountability and ensure high-velocity execution across a complex global marketing org. Own the Rhythm of the business and all aspects of keeping the org innovative and moving forward. Own pertinent CMO level projects / meetings and drive it from agenda setting to action item completion. Own the Marketing OKRs and how they trickle down to each functional area of marketing as well as hold all teams accountable for goal setting, milestones and achievement.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the connective tissue between the Office of the CMO and the C-suite (CEO, CIO, and CISO), bridging the gap between technical product capabilities and market-facing storytelling to ensure brand consistency.
High-Priority Special Projects: Lead "mission-critical" initiatives on behalf of the CMO such M&A Integrations, market expansion, AI governance, and Marketing transformation initiatives from initial concept through to measurable impact. Be able to represent the CMO on all areas of Marketing.
Performance & Resource Management: Partner with Finance, Marketing Ops and Human Resources to oversee the global marketing budget and headcount, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize ROI and ensure resources are diverted to the highest priorities
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Strategy leadership within a global enterprise technology company.
Demonstrated Executive Presence: Proven track record of supporting C-suite leaders and influencing stakeholders across a multi-billion dollar matrixed organization.
Deep GTM Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of SaaS business models, modern demand generation, and the complexities of global enterprise marketing.
Data-Driven Architect: Expert-level ability to turn complex data into strategic insights; deep experience with Salesforce, marketing automation, and advanced analytics platforms.
Change Agent: Proven capability to lead large-scale organizational transformations and a strong bias toward iterative processes (experimentation, testing, and scaling).
Strategic Financial Acumen: Strong experience in budget management, headcount planning, and financial modeling within a marketing context.
Resilient Leader: Passionate about high-performance culture, able to establish priorities under pressure, and take pride in remaining calm while navigating heavy workloads and time constraints.
Superb Communication: Ability to tell a compelling story through data and present complex operational concepts to executive audiences.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
