Job Summary
As a key member of the Technical Revenue team, you will partner with cross-functional teams to structure contractual terms, perform revenue close activities, and lead projects to develop new processes. This role requires a solutions-oriented individual with strong critical thinking skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working to improve the month-end close process and support key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Sales Operations on non-standard contract reviews to determine revenue impact and provide recommendations.
- Support monthly closing activities, including reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments, and preparing journal entries.
- Research, resolve, and operationalize complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
- Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
- Create and document accounting policies for new product introductions in partnership with Product and IT organizations.
- Lead and participate in projects and initiatives with cross-functional impacts to drive process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls related to the revenue cycle.
- Assist with external audits and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of related work experience, with at least 6 years in a Technical Revenue role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets).
- Demonstrated experience in writing complex technical revenue accounting position papers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent.
- Prior Public Accounting experience with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606).
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce (SFDC), BigQuery, and general accounting operations.
- Proven ability to simplify complex information and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
