We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive growth and market adoption of our Network Security solutions across the JAPAC region. This role will focus on identifying new market opportunities, supporting go-to-market programs, and working closely with partners to position advanced network security solutions that protect modern digital infrastructures.
NetSec is the largest source of revenue and growth at Palo Alto Networks. As a NetSec Business Development Manager, you drive the sale of the Palo Alto Networks NetSec portfolio - to include Hardware Firewall, Software Firewall, Cloud Firewall, Zero Trust Network Architectures across a broad geographic territory of downmarket accounts. Additionally, you work with a variety of other teams to execute the overall NetSec Go-to-Market plan, providing thought leadership and enabling scale. You’re motivated by the desire to solve critical security challenges facing our partners.
The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity domain knowledge, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to influence partners across technical and business stakeholders.
Your Impact
Drive regional growth and pipeline development for the company’s network security portfolio across APAC.
Partner with local sales teams to identify, develop, and close strategic opportunities with enterprise, service provider, and public sector customers.
Support channel-first go-to-market strategies, working closely with distributors, resellers, and system integrators.
Act as a subject matter expert for network security technologies including firewalling, network segmentation, secure access, and zero trust architectures.
Deliver executive-level presentations and technical value discussions with CISOs, security leaders, and IT architects.
Support partners with enablement, joint account planning, and co-selling initiatives.
Collaborate with pre-sales engineering teams to support demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution design.
Provide insights on regional market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive positioning.
Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting across the region.
Act as the subject matter expert for network security solutions including areas such as secure network architecture, threat prevention, segmentation, and zero trust.
Deliver compelling product positioning, value messaging, and customer presentations to technical and executive audiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, resellers, and strategic partners to expand market reach.
Track market trends, competitive positioning, and customer requirements to inform go-to-market strategies.
Stay updated on industry news and trends, and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services
Conduct in-person sessions, webinars and learning materials that can be consumed by the appropriate audience
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within accounts
Educate partners on the modern network security landscape
Establish relationships with and sell through channel partners
Travel 30% + throughout the territory and to company-wide meetings
Qualifications
Your Experience
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or enterprise technology sales, ideally with a focus on network security.
Strong experience working in APAC markets, preferably covering multiple countries.
Proven success selling through distribution and channel partners.
Ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of network security architectures and modern security frameworks.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse cultures and markets.
Existing relationships with regional partners, distributors, system integrators, and large enterprise customers.
Experience selling solutions such as NGFW, ZTNA, SWG, Secure Access, Network Detection and Response (NDR)
Consider yourself technical enough to cover some accounts while your SE is busy assisting others
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbally
Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field is preferred.
