Our Mission

At Palo Alto Networks® everything starts and ends with our mission:

Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life.

Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are.

Our Approach to Work

We lead with personalization and choice in all of our people programs. We have disrupted the traditional view that all employees have the same needs and wants. We offer our employees the opportunity to choose what works best for them as often as possible - from your wellbeing support to your growth and development, and beyond!

At Palo Alto Networks, we believe in the power of collaboration and value in-person interactions. This is why our employees generally work from the office with some flexibility offered where needed. This setup fosters casual conversations, problem-solving, and trusted relationships. While details may evolve, our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives, with office-based teams coming together three days a week to collaborate on the industry’s best cybersecurity solutions together!

Your Career

The UX Team is looking for a hardworking UX designer with expertise in creating state of the art visually appealing designs. You would join a team of like-minded people pushing the boundaries of web applications that tackle real problems in the information-security space. From ideation through implementation, you'll work with content creators, product stakeholders, and engineers to define the best user experience for fortune-500 companies and national security organizations. You possess a real passion for understanding the world of our users, generating insights and building solutions that empower them to do their best work. You’ll be working in teams to demonstrate other designer’s strengths, but also driving initiatives on your own. If you have an interest in creating high quality experiences that help protect the world from hackers, we want to hear from you!

Your Impact

  • Work across multiple products and teams to create elegant, seamless, consolidated user experiences
  • Continuously explore new ideas to improve and delight our users - Research user needs, generate creative solutions, and advocate for innovations that push our products to the next level
  • Evolve and expand our design system to keep our UX on the cutting edge - Introduce new components and patterns that become best practices adopted company-wide
  • Mentor and guide more junior designers in methods for creating intuitive, engaging product experiences grounded in user needs
  • Influence strategic product direction through your deep expertise in UX design, research, and strategy - Communicate design rationale across teams with clarity and influence

Your Experience

  • 8+ years as a hands-on UX/product design leader, including experience directing the work of other designers
  • Mastery of modern UX design tools and methods for research, ideation, interaction design, and visual design
  • Ability to think systemically and holistically about product ecosystems and user needs
  • Deep passion for user-centered design and advocacy for the customer experience
  • Have an extraordinary aesthetic sense for beautiful designs and pay attention to the details
  • Maintain constant curiosity on business aspects of the products, and utilize the knowledge to distill complex needs into elegant designs
  • Understand how the north star design concepts get broken down into iterative sprints - Possess past experiences of shipping highly interactive, engaging industry-leading products
  • Have a growth mindset and willingness to fail fast and learn
  • Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills to drive consensus and alignment

The Team

Our product design team is at the core of our products and connected directly to the mission of preventing cyberattacks. We are constantly innovating — challenging the way we, and the industry, think about cybersecurity. Our teams don’t shy away from building products to solve problems no one has pursued before.

We define the industry instead of waiting for directions. We need individuals who feel comfortable in ambiguity, excited by the prospect of a challenge, and empowered by the unknown risks facing our everyday lives that are only enabled by a secure digital environment.

Our Commitment

We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with a disability. If you require assistance or accommodation due to a disability or special need, please contact us at accommodations@paloaltonetworks.com.
