Your Career

We are looking for a motivated Automation QA Engineer to join the Cortex QA group in our Tel Aviv R&D center.

The team is responsible for the design and execution of both system and regression tests and also implementing automated e2e system tests of Palo Alto Networks extended detection and response platform that runs on integrated endpoint, network and cloud data.

In this role you will participate in our group effort of improving the overall product quality by developing, maintaining and running automation.
All of this in a fast pace process of development, test and release.

Your Impact

• Execute automated tests of different testing tools and frameworks on pre-defined pipelines on different testing processes

• Analyze test results and identify defects

• Report defects and track them to closure

• Report automation failures to automation teams and pinpoint root causes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases

• Provide regular status updates to automation teams and QA leaders

• Continuously improve automation processes and tools

Your Experience 

• 4+ years of software testing experience

• Experience with both frontend and backend testing of cloud-base services

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Pytest)

• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

• Knowledge of GCP cloud computing, kubernetes, MySQL, and REST API

• Self-learner and ability to learn new technologies and methodologies in a relatively short time

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Experience with analyzing test results and identifying defects

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Experience as a technical leader or team leader - advantage

• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) - advantage

• Academic degree(s) in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience – an advantage

• Candidate should also possess the ability to work under pressure with extreme deadlines, prioritize projects, and maintain focus and a sense of humor
