The Team & Role
Senior Customer Success Engineers (Sr CSEs) at Palo Alto Networks are product experts, strategic technical advisors, and assertive customer advocates. We are moving away from the traditional, reactive support responder model to act as outcome-driven engineers who proactively elevate our customers' overall security posture.
This senior-level position is dedicated entirely to our enterprise customer footprint in France. Working within our Network Security organization, you will provide programmatic leadership and strategic advocacy for a dedicated portfolio of high-value, high-complexity enterprise environments running our Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS) technologies and Strata Cloud Manager (SCM).
As part of our global Scale & Optimize (S&O) transformation, you will run parallel service frameworks—delivering on legacy Focused Services accounts while programmatically architecting customer roadmaps under our next-generation premium success models.
Your Impact
Customer Outcome Advocacy: Pivot the engagement model from administrative tracking to customer outcomes, moving the needle on telemetry, SCM, and advanced CDSS subscription adoption.
Maturity Assessment Execution: Lead and architect a standardized "Maturity Assessment" framework across your assigned accounts, ensuring 100% of your assigned accounts have a clear, documented path toward technology maturity.
Assertive Entitlement Optimization: Review account consumption metrics and take an assertive stance when enterprise environments are not fully leveraging their purchased entitlements or software subscriptions.
Drive Platform Currency (PAN-OS Health): Lead programmatic software migration strategies, ensuring eligible hardware networks successfully move to the latest supported PAN-OS versions while eliminating End-of-Life (EoL) software risk.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Extend a highly collaborative approach toward internal organizations, including Operations, GTM, and our Center of Excellence, programmatically pulling in resources to maximize customer success.
AI-First Delivery Motion: Integrate enterprise-level AI utilities into your daily workflow. You will use data models and product-team AI tools to predict account health/risk and provide data-driven recommendations to your customer base.
Culture of Innovation: Act as an internal enthusiast, driving team-wide efficiency by actively participating in and generating AI/automation experimentation projects.
Qualifications
Your Experience
Professional Background: 5+ years of relevant work experience in CyberSecurity Engineering, Network Architecture, Senior Technical Consulting, Technical Account Management, or a similar enterprise-scale customer success role.
Linguistic Skills: Professional, native-level fluency in French and professional fluency in English are mandatory for this territory.
Technical Domain Depth: Expert-level knowledge of network infrastructure, security pipeline optimization, NGFW capabilities, SSL/IPSec VPNs, HTTP, and TCP/IP protocols.
Platform Expertise: Strong background in core security suites, including Sandboxing, Firewalls, DLP, and Next-Gen Threat Prevention tools.
Certifications: Active PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) or equivalent senior security architecture certifications (e.g., CCIE, CISSP) are required.
Strategic Gravitas: Proven experience transitioning customer conversations from reactive technical responses to long-term, strategic security roadmaps with CISOs, CTOs, and Lead Architects.
Close Interlock with Sales and Solution Consultants: Maintain a close and continuous interlock with Account teams. You will translate complex technical telemetry data into value-driven milestone updates, helping account teams protect our subscription renewal targets and actively clear technical roadblocks for upcoming expansion opportunities.
Location & Travel: Must be based in France to accommodate customer onsite commitments, workshops, and regional strategic engagements. This role is based in Boulogne-Billancourt and we expect this individual to be onsite 2-3 days a week.
