What is a Solutions Consultant / Systems Engineer?

A Solutions Consultant / Systems Engineer is a technical expert who bridges the gap between technology and customer needs, helping businesses implement and optimize complex systems, software, and solutions. At Palo Alto Networks, Systems Engineers play a key role in cybersecurity by working closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and provide tailored solutions that protect their digital environments. They combine technical knowledge with strong problem-solving skills, often conducting hands-on demonstrations, technical presentations, and hands-on labs. Systems Engineers also collaborate with sales teams to ensure that the right security products are recommended and implemented, serving as trusted advisors who understand both the technical and business aspects of a solution. Their role is critical in ensuring that clients’ systems are secure, efficient, and scalable.
