Sales Operations - Our Sales Operations team at Palo Alto Networks is a best-in-class team that is critical to the success of our sales organization. The team is at the forefront of our sales strategy, and you’ll be at the center of the sales organization – the glue that holds the sales machine together. The mission of the Sales Operations team is to accelerate the growth of our business by providing actionable insights and execute on strategic initiatives. This is a team of highly driven, analytical, and passionate individuals, who are consistently looking for ways to improve and grow the business.

Job Summary

As a Manager, Business Analytics, you will directly impact the transformation and success of our world-leading cybersecurity business. You will collaborate on complex business and technology problems, developing executive-ready reporting within the Go-to-Market (GTM) area. This role is pivotal in driving our industry-leading growth by providing critical insights to our executive team and ensuring alignment between sales leaders and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize executive-ready dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau or Looker to provide clear business insights.
  • Utilize expert-level SQL proficiency to write complex, efficient queries across large datasets (e.g., Google BigQuery) to extract and transform data for analysis.
  • Build and manage foundational datasets and tables in Google BigQuery, focusing on robust schema design, data transformations, and comprehensive quality assurance.
  • Own, interpret, and report on key GTM business KPIs, including pipeline generation, bookings, forecast accuracy, conversion rates, and sales productivity metrics.
  • Translate data-driven insights and quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions for senior GTM and Sales Operations leaders.
  • Proactively collaborate and exchange information with senior cross-functional leaders to understand business requirements and deliver relevant analytical solutions.
  • Clearly communicate complex findings and strategic proposals to senior audiences using executive-quality presentation and packaging skills.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate antiquated processes to supercharge productivity using our suite of AI tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in business analytics, sales operations, or a related analytical function within a top-tier tech company.
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency with a proven ability to write complex, performant queries on large datasets.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), including executive dashboard design, advanced calculations, and performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive results in dynamic and ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google BigQuery.
  • Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • High technical aptitude for understanding complex technologies, tools, and systems to drive impact.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to automate processes and enhance productivity.
