Job Summary

The Team

Our Strategy and Business Operations is a focused team that works on our most critical business challenges to drive and support our industry-leading growth. Your efforts will directly affect the overall strategy and success of a world-leading cybersecurity business. You will collaborate on complex business and technology problems that are top of mind for our executives. You possess a unique blend of business insight, business strategy experience, big-picture thinking, and influencing skills and the ability to collaborate with a large number of constituents within Palo Alto Networks.

Your Role

As Lead, you will be a pivotal member of our Marketing Strategy team at Palo Alto Networks. Your work will directly and visibly contribute to our overall success for our Marketing organization. You will be closely collaborating with the Marketing Strategy Principal and also tied at the hip to our CMO and the CMO Staff and will be tasked with developing solutions for complex business problems that are top-of-mind for our C-level and Marketing leadership. Marketing at Palo Alto Networks is going through a transformation and you will be front-and-center on the journey influencing its trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the AI transformation across the Marketing Organization - architect the product and scale the AI first working model across the organization.

  • Position yourself as the Strategy “right hand” and trusted advisor across the marketing organization.

  • Develop a deep understanding and expertise around our Marketing capabilities including Brand, Product, Demand Gen, Digital, Events, Field Marketing, Comms.

  • Structure and break down complex business problems, develop a hypothesis, drive analysis and deliver recommendations.

  • Work collaboratively across a cross-functional set of stakeholders to gather the right information, pressure test your hypothesis, co-create deliverables, accelerate execution and unlock value.

  • Develop and present high-quality recommendation and deliverables (Google Slides, Google Doc / Memos) for executive level consumption.

  • Support strategy / business planning processes and assist with developing strategic capabilities across the organization.

  • Drive change across the organization and be willing to wear multiple hats (strategy development, project management and execution) to do it what it takes to “move the needle” and drive impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years relevant work experience with at least 3 years in management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, etc.), private equity or top-tier tech strategy or “bizops” functions (Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc.).

  • MBA graduate from a top-tier B- school or similar academic credentials or “direct promote” in Consulting.

  • Effective verbal and written communication ability and comfort with both business and technical discussions with senior audiences.

  • Experience in building relationships and leading through influence.

  • Experience managing projects and large-scale transformations.

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of and interest in B2B marketing, including lead generation, marketing funnel stages and levers, success metrics, marketing personas / buyer groups, customer journey, etc.

  • Marketing strategy experience looking at marketing transformation, marketing effectiveness, organization, process, and productivity improvement.

  • Enterprise B2B tech expertise at leading mid and large-scale companies.

  • Great teammate, willing to passionately roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get things done.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
