Job Summary
Palo Alto Networks SASE group is seeking a seasoned Solution/System QA/Automation Engineer to validate core networking and security features within the SDWAN CPT team. You will join a world-class software engineering team working on groundbreaking SASE/SD-WAN technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-functional team of engineers to solve complex and interesting customer problems.
Key Responsibilities
Work in a small, fast-paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver impactful results.
Contribute to all phases of end-to-end product and solution validation.
Collaborate with development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality.
Suggest and implement improvements to the QA process.
Work with DevOps and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues.
Lead, mentor, and coach team members to foster growth and excellence.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
4+ years of highly technical QA experience with a BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong L2/L3 hands-on networking experience and ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
Strong understanding of VPN technologies, protocols (IPSec/SSL VPN), and security standards.
Expertise with standard TCP/IP protocols including ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, and IPSec VPNs.
Expertise in testing enterprise routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Expertise in networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT, and DHCP.
Good programming experience with Python and REST APIs.
Willingness to adopt and work within Agile methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in QA test automation on Cloud or Network security platforms using AI tools like Claude.
Experience in system/scale testing simulating and maintaining large or complex enterprise networks.
Experience with performance characterization of networking products with strong debugging skills.
Good understanding of control plane and data plane architecture in networking devices.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, QEMU/KVM, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Ability to build and maintain complex cloud/networking testbeds.
