Your Career
As a Technical Sales Manager (Pre and Post-Sales) for SASE, you will establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your assigned Managed Service Providers (MSP’s) and partners, working closely with their Service Delivery and Service Assurance teams, enabling them on Palo Alto Networks’ products (specifically Prisma SASE), and be the escalation point for those teams for any issues that require technical assistance. You will serve as the customer/partner's advocate within Palo Alto Networks and, based on learnings from your customer base, you will provide valuable feedback and input to our product management teams on new feature requests and product improvements.
Your Impact
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your assigned Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and partners, working closely with their Service Delivery and Service Assurance teams, enabling them on Palo Alto Networks’ products (specifically Prisma SASE), and be their escalation point for any issues that require technical assistance.
- Act as the customers’ advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolved, ensuring ongoing partner & end customer happiness, support, and adoption
- Architect and propose validated solutions for partners to provide SD-WAN and full SASE to their customers to scale Service Delivery and Service Assurance capabilities
- Identify and document specific problems with prospective and current customers that can be solved through the deployment of integrated solutions
- Provide design consultation and standard methodology mentorship for rollout, implementation, and policy conversion during the pre-sales process
- Interact with our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and diagnose support cases.
- Understand the customer environment, requirements, and security roadmap to implement the appropriate security solution
- Pursue continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologies (SD-WAN, SASE, data center, SDN, public cloud, security, networking, etc.)
Your Experience
- 8+ years of work experience, ideally with relevant experience as a professional services engineer, resident engineer, consultant or IT/operations engineer
- 5+ years experience working at or supporting an MSP in SD-WAN/SASE technologies is preferred
- Experience with configuring, implementing, and maintaining network security solutions (Prisma SASE is highly preferred)
- Additional technical capabilities to include from among the following:
- WAN technologies
- MPLS, MetroE, Leased Lines, Broadband
- Tunneling protocols - SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, DMVPN
- IP Routing - BGP, OSPF, Static, Network Address Translation
- Network security capabilities - IPS/IDS, Zone-Based Firewalls, Sandboxing, CASB, DLP, Zero Trust concepts
- Virtualization technologies - ESX, KVM, Xen, Microsoft
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent military experience preferred

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $198000/yr - $273000/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
