Job Summary
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performance engineering team. You will drive the design and implementation of enterprise-scale SaaS products from scratch, focusing on identity and access management. Your role involves scaling the team, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. You will collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define roadmaps and lead the team in adopting cutting-edge technologies and agile development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Hire, build, and rapidly scale the engineering team to meet hyper-growth plans.
- Practice all software development life cycle in an agile-oriented environment with emphasis on code quality, supportability, scalability, and performance.
- Design and implement the product from scratch to production.
- Research and implement sophisticated Cyber security mechanisms.
- Explore new technologies and tools to keep us using cutting-edge solutions.
- Nurture a culture of innovation and drive local initiatives that enable continuous growth.
- Engage with various stakeholders and the Product Management Team to establish a product roadmap and release schedule.
- Be an ambassador of the company culture and provide local leadership to establish the engineering culture.
- Foster leadership principles and behaviors throughout the organization to groom the next generation of engineering leaders.
- Partner with HR and executives for key site-wide initiatives and facilitate local operations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- BS or equivalent with a major degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in building enterprise software.
- 8+ years in hiring, leading, and scaling high-performance engineering teams.
- Hands-on technical experience with building enterprise-scale SaaS products.
- Very strong software engineering, design, and development experience.
- Deep understanding of Agile development practices and other engineering processes.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of Software Security, Multi-tenancy, Scalability, and High Availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Identity and Access Management.
- Working experience with designing a scalable Web Solution, preferably with Microservice architecture, AWS technology stack, and serverless.
- Proficient in Python, Go, Node, Ruby, Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch), C# (.Net Core), or C++.
- Experience with modern CI/CD tools.
- Proven track record to grow and manage an engineering organization of 15+.
- Experience working at a high-growth, fast-paced technology company.
