Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and fast-learning Software Engineer to join our backend team. You will play a crucial role in building a service used daily by tens of thousands of our customers' employees, providing them with a simplified, single point of access to their Idira services that is easy to use, intuitive, and fast.

In this role, you will use AWS serverless architecture, AWS CDK, and Python to design, develop, test, secure, and deploy services from planning to production. We are looking for an engineer who knows how to leverage modern AI tools to accelerate development and design scalable systems that meet our rigorous standards for quality, scalability, and security.

• Play a key role in the full lifecycle of backend development—from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, security, and deployment—with a strong emphasis on Python and AWS serverless architecture.

• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-performance, secure, and scalable services, working closely with security architects, product managers, and UX experts.

• proactively identify potential bugs and performance gaps before they reach users, while efficiently investigating and resolving escalated customer cases to ensure high reliability.

• Strategically leverage modern AI tools to accelerate workflows by supplying the right context and deliberately iterating. Continuously learn, experiment, and scale what works, while rigorously verifying outputs and knowing when not to use AI.

Qualifications

•  2+ years of experience in backend development using Python, Go, Ruby, Java, C#, or C++ (Python is a definite advantage).

• Hands-on experience developing and deploying serverless applications on AWS. Experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code is a strong advantage.

• Proactive, highly motivated, and goal-oriented. You are a fast, self-directed learner with excellent communication skills, a passion for acquiring new knowledge, sharing insights, and seamlessly collaborating with the team.

• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including secure web coding, threat modeling, and OWASP guidelines.

• Hands-on proficiency in AI development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar, combined with the proven ability to critically read and verify AI-generated code before acceptance, applying peer-review rigor to catch hallucinated APIs, bugs, and security gaps.

• Experience developing and maintaining SaaS applications. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory) is an advantage.
