Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Director, Finance. You will partner with our People team, providing financial insights into all of our company compensation and benefits programs and direction.  Compensation and benefits are the company’s largest expense pool, making this an incredibly high impact role.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter, analytical, and have strong business partnership skills.

Your Impact

• Work as a critical member of the Corporate Finance team, partnering with the People team to optimize all of our compensation and benefit decisions and programs across the company

• Analyze VIP bonus program vs benchmark peers and competitors.  Partner with people team to optimize

• Review approach to compensation percentile targeting by function

• Assess company ROI on Flexbenefits to determine recommendations for future of this program

• Evaluate and optimize company stock based compensation programs

• For all of the above, partner with regional finance teams to understand local market dynamics and ensure every $ spent is optimized for ROI within each local market.

• Analyze impact of each of the above, as well as alternative proposals on key company financial metrics (primarily the P&L and Free Cash Flow)

Your Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Economics/Finance, MBA preferred

• 8~10+ years of experience in finance, including an ability to lead, business partner, and influence

• Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with a mix of top-line and cost analysis 

• Ability to prioritize, adapt to changes, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively

• Team player, self-motivated, proactive, organized, positive attitude

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and FP&A-oriented software offerings.  Experience with financial systems including SAP and data visualization tools, including Tableau

• Strong market research skills and industry experience is a plus

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $203000 - $279500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
