Your Career
Become a member of the Revenue Accounting team at Palo Alto Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Revenue who is excited to join a high growth Company. The ideal candidate must possess strong quote to cash system knowledge, have great attention to detail, and possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills. The candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to provide solutions for issues identified. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. This person will directly report to the Senior Revenue Manager and closely work and manage the other members of the Revenue team. The candidate will be responsible to perform revenue close accounting activities, develop new processes, and improve processes and procedures. The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible, solutions-oriented, and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Empowering Others: Delegate ownership of tasks and analyses, enabling team members to make autonomous decisions that improve the accuracy of their deliverables.
Aligning on Purpose: Translate the Revenue Accounting team’s long-term strategy into specific goals, ensuring all close activities and system improvements directly support key business outcomes.
Driving Results & Accountability: Set ambitious team goals and hold the team accountable for achieving high performance, especially during the fast-paced revenue close environment.
Strategic Planning: Sequence the implementation of revenue system improvements and automate processes to ensure timely completion of reporting cycles.
Learning & AI Innovation: Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity by encouraging the team to experiment with new AI and analytical methods (such as BigQuery or Tableau) to improve revenue processes.
Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to IT, providing financial insights that drive decisions and align revenue and IT strategies with company-wide goals.

Required Qualifications
Core Management Experience
Leadership Breadth: Experience managing team members, defining professional goals, and providing consistent mentorship and coaching.
Talent Pipeline Development: Proven ability to build a pipeline of high-performing talent and coach team members to lead through technical financial challenges.
Business Partnership: Experience in a formal business partnership role, collaborating with C-level or VP-level executives to negotiate resource trade-offs and align financial plans.
Technical & Strategic Expertise
Systems Leadership: Advanced experience with enterprise financial systems (SAP, RAR, SFDC) and the ability to define enterprise-wide standards for financial reporting and planning.
Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to anticipate complex financial risks across a business portfolio and design enterprise-level solutions to drive long-term structural efficiency.
Advanced Data Governance: Experience designing and implementing robust controls and review processes for major financial submissions to ensure data integrity across complex systems.
Foundational Requirements (Leader Level)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Minimum Qualification).
Industry Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting or finance within the Technology/SaaS industry.
Advanced Modeling: Proficiency in managing the development of complex P&L or revenue models and stress-testing them against various business scenarios.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
