Role Overview
As the Principal Program Manager for NPI (New Product Introduction) Dev-to-Dev Integration, you will be the primary orchestrator between siloed engineering squads, platform teams, and DevOps. Your mission is to ensure that every new product launch is technically harmonious with our existing ecosystem. You will move beyond high-level timelines to manage the deep technical handshakes and cross-service dependencies that allow our products to function as a unified platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cross-Functional Technical Orchestration
Lead the "Dev-to-Dev" integration strategy for all New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring that upstream and downstream engineering teams are aligned on technical requirements.
Map complex technical dependencies across microservices, shared libraries, and infrastructure components to prevent "integration debt" at launch.
Facilitate technical discovery and design review sessions to define technical architecture , data flow and overall technical design between new and existing services.
2. NPI Lifecycle Management
Develop and maintain the integrated technical roadmap for new products, from early architectural design through to Alpha/Beta and General Availability (GA).
Drive "Ready for Dev" checkpoints, ensuring that architectural blueprints and technical specifications are validated by all impacted engineering teams before coding begins.
Manage the technical cutover and migration plans for launches that involve deprecating or upgrading legacy integrations.
3. Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving
Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks that arise when two disparate engineering domains collide.
Act as the final escalation point for cross-team technical conflicts, driving data-driven decisions on trade-offs between speed-to-market and architectural purity.
Proactively manage risks related to system scalability, latency, and security during the integration of new features.
4. Governance & Process Improvement
Standardize the "Integration Playbook" for NPIs, creating repeatable templates for technical documentation, testing protocols, and deployment syncs.
Define and track KPIs for integration success across cross-functional workstreams.
