Job Summary

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to safeguarding critical enterprise data in the cloud landscape. Focusing on Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) across different platforms, you will drive the development of scalable solutions for data discovery, classification, and protection. You will drive initiatives to preemptively discover sensitive data and mitigate exposure risks, safeguarding critical customer assets to guarantee data protection, regulatory compliance, and strict access control that enable enterprise expansion.

In this role, you will combine people leadership and project execution with architectural guidance and technical strategy. You will partner closely with Product Management, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver high-scale, resilient cloud platforms that help world-class enterprises proactively eliminate risks and secure their data.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership & People Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of 5–7 software engineers. Foster an agile, collaborative culture focused on quality, execution, and continuous professional growth.
• Technical & Architectural Guidance: Provide strong technical leadership and strategic architectural direction. Guide team decisions around cloud microservices, data discovery pipelines, and multi-cloud integrations.
• Product Execution & Delivery: Work directly with Product Management and cross-functional teams to translate complex data security requirements into clear engineering roadmaps, delivering robust features on time.
• Innovation: Oversee the design and development of scalable scanning architectures to address the challenges of analyzing large-scale datasets while expanding coverage across a wide variety of cloud and database sources.
• Operational Excellence: Drive engineering best practices, emphasizing high availability, system performance, scalability, and automated testing across multi-cloud environments.
• AI & Modern Workflow Adoption: Encourage the adoption of modern development practices, including AI-assisted development tools, to optimize productivity and quality across the SDLC.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Management Experience: 5+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years as a manager leading high-performing software engineering teams.
• Cloud & Distributed Systems: Proven track record of architecting and operating large-scale, data-intensive SaaS or cloud platforms.
• Modern Stack Experience: Expertise in microservices architecture, cloud-native deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure), and relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• AI Tooling: Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to streamline code generation, code quality, and developer velocity.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Language & Frameworks: Proficiency in Java, Kotlin (with Spring Boot), Go, or Python.
• Data Security & DSPM Domain: Domain knowledge in cybersecurity, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Big Data Technologies: Experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or distributed data processing engines.
• CI/CD & Infrastructure: Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation.
