Job Summary

Join the Revenue Accounting team at Palo Alto Networks as a highly motivated Senior Revenue Analyst in a high-growth environment. In this role, you will leverage your critical thinking and communication skills to perform revenue close accounting activities and collaborate with key stakeholders. You will be instrumental in developing new processes and enhancing the month-end close, requiring a flexible, solutions-oriented approach. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who works well under pressure and is eager to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own monthly revenue close procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Analyze revenue and deferred revenue trends to drive revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business partners to implement best practices, automation, and process improvements.
  • Support revenue system implementations and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Manage projects, create procedural documentation, and develop training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls.
  • Assist with external audit requests, special projects, and ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant experience, including ASC 606.
  • Familiarity with close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills with a risk-based approach.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across functions and implement new processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities accurately.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA/CPA certification.
  • Proficiency in G Suite.
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP (ERP ECC & RAR), Blackline, Tableau, and SFDC.
  • Experience in the high-tech industry, particularly with Hardware, Software, or SaaS models.
