What advice would you give to a candidate preparing for an interview?
Always research the roles, company and culture thoroughly. Make sure to appeal to your experience and achievements logically, through specific examples of success (or failure - and what you learned and how you improved from it). Lastly, think about how you specifically can contribute to the team and business, and how you would like to grow your career in PANW.
How can someone be a more competitive candidate?
Be confident about your achievements and don't be afraid to appeal to your strengths. Likewise, be honest about areas you need to improve, and present a plan for what you are already doing and further plan to do to improve your career. Lastly, show your passion for your career, for the company, and what you want to achieve. There is no such thing as a perfect candidate, but showing your strengths clearly, while being open about your plans for self-growth and your future career, can make a drastic difference in the impression you give.
