We’re thrilled to share the incredible impact made by 37 enthusiastic Palo Alto Networks volunteers in India during their volunteering activity with Akshaya Patra! Their energy, dedication, and hard work were truly inspiring and left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Here’s how these volunteers rolled up their sleeves and made a difference:

Vegetable Washing: In a massive effort, they washed 2,000 kg of vegetables, including pumpkins and tomatoes, ensuring the preparation of fresh and nutritious meals for children.

Chili Stem Removal: With focus and efficiency, they removed stems from 100 kg of green chilies, supporting the smooth operation of kitchen processes.

Vegetable Movement: The team transported vegetables from the ground floor to the preprocessing area on the third floor, significantly speeding up operations and allowing the kitchen staff to focus on other critical tasks.

Akshaya Patra is now able to provide mid-day meals to 2,940 children for an entire academic year. Our contribution goes beyond nourishing young minds—it fuels their education, helping them break free from the cycle of hunger and poverty to create a brighter future.

But the impact didn’t stop there. For our hardworking kitchen staff, the volunteers’ involvement was a breath of fresh air. The spirit of giving and community displayed by the Palo Alto Networks volunteers was nothing short of remarkable and we are making a tangible difference in the lives of children across India.
