Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Strategy: execute a comprehensive territory plan for 125 assigned accounts, balancing "land" (net-new logo acquisition) and "expand" (cross-selling/upselling into existing install base) motions.

  • Platform Sales: Drive the adoption of the Next-Generation Security Platform by articulating the value of consolidation and automation to C-Level executives and technical decision-makers.

  • Channel Leverage: Collaborate deeply with the Channel and Ecosystem partners to scale reach, identify opportunities, and close business within the mid-market sector.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate forecasting and hygiene in Salesforce/Workday, ensuring 3x-4x pipeline coverage relative to quarterly quotas.

Primary Objectives

  • Strategic Account Management: rigorous prioritization of the 125-account list, identifying top 20 "High Propensity" targets for immediate platformization while nurturing the remaining territory.

  • Consolidation Play: Focus on displacing legacy point-product competitors by positioning the unified value of the Palo Alto Networks ecosystem.

Scope & Complexity

  • Segment: Commercial Select (Mid-Market to Lower Enterprise).

  • Account Load: 125 Named Accounts.

  • Sales Cycle: Managing 3–9 month sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders (CISO, CIO, Network Architects).

Required Competencies

  • Hunter Mentality: Proven ability to break into inactive accounts within the named list.

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts (SASE, XDR, Zero Trust) into business value.

  • Orchestration: Experience leading virtual teams, including Systems Engineers (SEs), Channel Managers, and Specialist Sales overlays.

Qualifications

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
