Growth, Change, and a Global Perspective

Eight years ago, in March 2017, I walked into the Palo Alto Networks Singapore office as an Inside Sales Leader for Greater China, JAPAC, eager to contribute and grow. Little did I know that this journey would take me across two continents, three roles, and a global scope—all while shaping my career and perspective at Palo Alto Networks.

A Career Across Regions

My path at PANW has been anything but linear. I started in JAPAC as an Inside Sales Leader for three years, but life brought new opportunities. Due to family reasons, I moved from Singapore to Canada, which led me to take a one-year break from the company. However, Palo Alto Networks culture and opportunities drew me back, and I rejoined in North America Field Marketing.

Fast forward to today, I have transitioned into a Global SASE GTM (Go-to-Market) role, expanding my coverage beyond specific regions to a truly global stage. Each step has allowed me to learn, adapt, and grow, offering a unique perspective on how our business and culture evolve across different markets.

Lessons from the Journey

Embrace Change: Moving across regions and roles required constant adaptation. Change is an opportunity for growth.

Stay Open to New Challenges: Shifting from inside sales leader to field marketing and now a global GTM role was a leap, but it pushed me to develop new skills.

The Power of Community: Palo Alto Networks' people and culture made every transition smoother. I feel fortunate to have worked with such amazing colleagues throughout my journey.

Building on Experience: Everything I’ve done in the past years has shaped who I am today. Each role built upon the previous one, allowing me to apply lessons learned and drive impact in new ways. This continuous cycle of growth, adaptability, and learning is what makes working at Palo Alto Networks so rewarding.

Looking Ahead

I hope my journey at Palo Alto Networks inspires others to take bold steps in their careers. Growth isn’t always a straight line, but with the right mindset and a strong team, the possibilities are endless.
