A Unique Journey: From Fashion to "Super Hero" Problem Solving


You’ve had a unique journey back to Palo Alto Networks, including a two-year stint in the fashion industry! Please tell us how these and other experiences led to your career in cybersecurity.

I started sales early on in my career after a technical stint as a helpdesk engineer, moved into fashion and realized the problems I was solving in technology were much more interesting, helping customers manage security challenges feels much more akin to being a super hero than fashion ever did!

This role allows me to feel like we actually are affecting change in a tangible way - as much as I still love fashion, my problem solving brain is much more suited to the cybersecurity industry, and having the opportunity to be surrounded by so many amazing industry leaders, customers, peers, colleagues alike I realize is a rare opportunity and something I am grateful for in this career path.

What do you enjoy most about being a Sales team leader?

Watching my team win - and supporting each other doing it, being able to provide feedback to help someone get there faster, or learn a different set of skills/perspective to get them there the next time.
