Experience Design: How Vinyl DJing and UX Meet at Palo Alto Networks

Walking the halls of Palo Alto Networks in Israel, you’ll find a graduate of Shenkar’s Fashion Design program who also happens to be a vinyl DJ. Meet Hadas, a Product Designer who creates a perfect mix between her creative hobbies and her day job.

Share Your Journey From Fashion to Product Design!

"I have a degree in Fashion Design from Shenkar and I worked in that field for a bit, but eventually, I felt I wanted a change. I found my way into Marketing Design, and then I arrived at Palo Alto Networks and started my journey as a Product Designer. I’ve been here for a year and seven months, joining after the acquisition of Dig."

Tell us About Life as a Vinyl DJ.

"I’ve been collecting records for about six years. I DJ with vinyl in small venues that have turntables, and I love mixing styles between old and new—jazz, hip-hop, and alternative music."

Where Do DJing and Design Meet?

"I think both are about experience design. At work, I design user experiences (UX), and when I go up to play, I design the experience of the venue I'm playing in, adapting myself to the people and the place I’m in. Friends from the office come to hear me and are really supportive; my previous manager really pushed me toward this, and to this day, she comes to almost all of my DJ sets."
