Returning to the Palo Alto Networks Sales Team in Italy

My story with Palo Alto Networks began in 2008—not as an employee, but as its first distributor in Italy, at a time when the company had yet to establish a direct presence in our country. I remember those years as a time of great energy and discovery: Palo Alto Networks was revolutionizing the firewall market, introducing a completely new approach to network security. Bringing this vision to the first partners and customers was one of the most formative and stimulating experiences of my career.

It was clear from the very beginning that Palo Alto Networks had a deeply innovative DNA. And even today, more than twenty years after its founding, it continues to blaze new trails in the cybersecurity sector. This constant drive toward the future has had a strong impact on me as well: it has shaped the way I work, the way I engage with customers, and the way I tackle market challenges.

From 2008 to 2021, I collaborated with the company’s main Italian partners, helping to promote its solutions and develop the local market. Then, in 2021, came the opportunity to join the Italian team directly as a Named Account Manager. It was an important step, which I welcomed with enthusiasm—but also with a certain sense of awe. Not because of the goals to be achieved, but because of the emotional weight of a company that has always represented much more to me than just a brand.

In 2022, I chose to take on a new professional challenge, in a smaller environment, driven by the desire to test myself in a different context. It was an experience that enriched me in many ways and helped me reflect more clearly on what truly matters to me. Even during those two years, Palo Alto Networks kept coming up in conversations with clients and partners—almost like a red thread that couldn’t be broken. Some even said it was “written on my forehead”… and perhaps they weren’t entirely wrong.

In January 2025, I came back. Back to a place that has always felt more like home than just a company. And not only were the doors reopened to me, but I was also entrusted with an even more strategic role, in an Italian market that is now more complex and challenging than ever.

Being part of this team is not easy: our sector today demands clarity, adaptability, and a strong capacity to reinvent ourselves. But I am convinced that if we continue to pass on to our customers and partners the core values of Palo Alto Networks—innovation, trust, and a results-driven mindset—then we can truly make a difference, together.

Thank you, Palo Alto Networks, for the renewed trust. I am ready to write, together with you, new chapters in this story built on commitment, growth, and vision.
