From Intern to Seller: How Palo Alto Networks Invests in Early Career Success

Joining Palo Alto Networks has truly been one of the best and most natural decisions I’ve ever made. I started as a Corporate Sales Intern in the summer of 2022 not knowing what the future holds for me, to just now completing my first year as a seller on the SMB team, it’s been an amazing ride thus far. From day one, I knew this was exactly where I was meant to be, and where I want to continue growing. The biggest reason? The people.

When I first started as a Business Development Representative (BDR) in August of 2023, I had all the typical questions and doubts: Am I ready for this? Do I belong here? Where will this lead? Those uncertainties quickly faded once I met my manager, teammates, and Sales Manager. From new hires all the way to senior leadership, everyone welcomed me with genuine support and encouragement. That sense of belonging was immediate and lasting.

Since then, my goal has been clear: to absorb as much knowledge as possible and give 100% effort every single day. Palo Alto Networks has continuously supported that goal by investing heavily in my early career development. From comprehensive training programs to networking opportunities and resources that help me stay ahead in a fast-evolving tech landscape.

However, the biggest factor in my growth has been the people I work with. I’m surrounded by such intelligent, passionate, and driven professionals who constantly push me to grow. The thing is, this environment isn’t just local to the team in NYC — it’s embedded in the culture across the entire organization. No matter where you are in the company, you’ll find colleagues who are willing to help you, challenge you, and celebrate your wins. It’s this environment that has fueled my development and enabled the career progression I’m proud of today.

Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, but even more excited about what’s ahead. At Palo Alto Networks, growth isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected and it’s backed by a culture that truly invests in its people. I’m grateful to be part of a company where I’m continuously challenged, supported, and inspired. By leveraging my fearless curiosity and my relentless hunger in becoming the best I can be, I’m confident that with the people, resources, and mission of Palo Alto Networks behind me, the possibilities are endless.
