Growth and Gratitude: Five Years in Pre-Sales Systems Engineering at Palo Alto Networks 

I’m incredibly grateful to Palo Alto Networks for providing me with the space to not only grow professionally but also to understand myself better and how I want to approach my career. The culture here is one of constant curiosity, and it’s inspiring to work in an environment where everyone is passionate about cybersecurity and staying ahead of the curve as a market leader.

I’ve had the privilege of attending various workshops, strategic leadership meetings, and conferences, which have broadened my knowledge and helped me see things from different perspectives. Working with colleagues who have such deep experience in areas I want to explore has been invaluable. I’m also proactive in seeking feedback and challenging myself with projects that push me out of my comfort zone. Every day here is an opportunity to grow, and I make sure to take full advantage of that.

If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to slow down and be more intentional with my choices. Early on, there’s always so much to do, so much to learn, and so many opportunities to seize, and it's easy to feel the need to say 'yes' to everything. But as I progressed, I realized that it’s just as important to stop and reflect on why something is worth doing. Taking the time to prioritize and be intentional has helped me focus on what truly contributes to my growth.

One person who inspires me greatly is my mentor at Palo Alto Networks, Jaydeep. As an outstanding SC, Jaydeep has provided me with invaluable support and guidance. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time to listen to what I’m working on, offer thoughtful recommendations, and most importantly, follow through on providing help when I need it most. His dedication to both his work and to helping others grow has inspired me to approach my own career with the same mindset—leading with empathy, being approachable, and always striving to help others succeed.
