That's a wrap on AfroTech 2024!

What an incredible experience. This third year of Palo Alto Networks sponsoring the global conference, the event brought together over 35,000 Black professionals – a powerful platform for learning and innovation. Our team is inspired and energized by meeting all of the emerging and leading talent, and witnessing how the community is taking the industry to the next level. “This is not just another technology conference,” said Prem Iyer, Senior Vice President of Strategic Pursuits at Palo Alto Networks, who was honored to be among the speakers on the Cybersecurity stage and is the executive sponsor for our Ujima Black Employee Network Group.

Ivan McDuffie, Sr. Director, GCS Center of Excellence (COE) at Palo Alto Networks, shares his experience attending AfroTech this year:

"Attending AfroTech was an incredibly inspiring and empowering experience. It was amazing to be surrounded by so many talented and innovative professionals driving change in tech and beyond. The sessions were insightful and having the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of technical professionals and share insights about Palo Alto Networks was a true highlight. AfroTech truly exemplifies the power of diversity, collaboration and representation in shaping the future of technology."

Ashlie Blanca
, Technical Director, shares:

"What I found to be most valuable about my experience at AfroTech this year was not only the connections made with potential candidates while networking and the ability to highlight the successes of Palo Alto Networks in new ways; but also the connections made amongst my colleagues that joined me there! AfroTech is a great tool to build community within our company culture as well as with the greater tech industry. I also hold a personal value over the creativity that pours out from each vendor and individual alike - whether that's style, demeanor, or branding - it's extremely inspiring and it encourages me to extend what I've learned at AfroTech in other corners/aspects of my life upon return!"
