What has been the most exciting aspect of your new role?

I've really enjoyed the deeper level of strategic consulting required in the Small and Midsize Business (SMB) space. I’m now spending more time understanding the specific pain points of all our customers. I work in lockstep with channel partners and internal stakeholders to transform Palo Alto Networks’ platform from a point solution into a business roadmap that directly accelerates our customers' long-term growth. Being a trusted advisor is extremely rewarding, and gives the opportunity for us sellers to build partnerships that last a lifetime. I love that this role allows me to bridge the gap between the relentless execution of my Business Development Representative (BDR) roots and the sophisticated partnership-building required to succeed in the SMB ecosystem!

  

  

  

How do you feel this shift has positively impacted your career path?

This shift has been a pivotal step in my career! Transitioning to the full sales cycle has allowed me to focus on connecting deeply with customers to understand their unique business challenges. This has been equally transformative in how I collaborate with our channel partners and internal teams; I’ve learned that success in this role is about orchestrating an entire ecosystem to deliver long-term security outcomes. I have learned that when we all lean into one goal, we can truly be unstoppable together! This transition has also helped me connect with other great sellers in an extremely collaborative encouraging environment.

  

  

  

Where do you see yourself moving forward within the company?

Moving forward, I see my trajectory at Palo Alto Networks defined by scale and mentorship. Having started my career here, I’m deeply invested in our culture and want to evolve into a leadership role where I can help others replicate the success I’ve found in the SMB space. I find immense reward in helping early-career BDRs identify their aspirations and step into their full potential. My goal is to be a leader who elevates the entire team’s strategic approach specifically in how we orchestrate partner collaboration and build unbreakable customer trust. I believe that by understanding the goals of my teammates and partners, and actively helping them achieve them, we create a high-performance ecosystem that wins together.

  

  

  

What would you share with someone who is thinking about joining Palo Alto Networks?

Having played sports at the highest college level, I recognize this same drive: a culture built on winning through consistency and outworking the competition every single day. It’s a fast-paced environment where you’re expected to execute, but you’re also given the resources and the green light to ask the tough questions needed to win. You have the freedom here to build your own brand and create a sales style that no one else can copy. Best of all, you aren’t doing it alone. You’re surrounded by partners and mentors who genuinely want to see you succeed, plus teammates who challenge you to bring your A-game everyday. I truly believe you have to ask yourself where you want to be in five or ten years and what kind of legacy you want to build. Palo Alto Networks gives you the platform to build genuine partnerships, thrive within an elite team, and most importantly the freedom to be yourself. I couldn’t think of a better place to be.
