What is the "Why" behind your passion for leading Quality Engineering and Release teams?

I’m passionate about leading the Quality Engineering, Automation and Release teams because we are the architects of business continuity. While product teams build what we sell, my team builds the digital nervous system that allows Palo Alto Networks to scale. Transforming the conventional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to AI-Led SDLC is an immense challenge towards a greatly rewarding outcome. At Palo Alto Networks, Quality Engineering is no longer a gate at the end, but a continuous, self-optimizing feedback loop of "Engineering with Quality."

How does Palo Alto Networks provide a competitive edge for your team?

In the current cybersecurity and AI-First landscape, Palo Alto Networks gives my team a unique advantage because we "drink our own champagne." We secure our enterprise applications using our own industry-leading tools like Prisma Cloud and Cortex. This gives my team the unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of Business Logic and High Security. By embracing first principle thinking, we fundamentally reimagine the way AI will become our partner in transforming the SDLC processes and the way we operate our business workflows. This puts us way ahead of our competitors and peers. The skills and thought leadership my team develops in this environment makes us the vanguards of the future.

What is the most rewarding impact of your work?

The most rewarding part of leading the Quality Engineering & Building and Release Management team here is seeing operational efficiency and quality excellence come to life. When we automate a complex release for our global sales or finance teams, we aren't just deploying good quality code - we are reclaiming thousands of hours of productivity for the company. There is a profound sense of accomplishment in knowing that our rigorous testing and release orchestration are what enable Palo Alto Networks to report earnings, process orders, provide the best customer experience and go-to-market with absolute precision and speed.

What does the future look like for your team and Palo Alto Networks?

Palo Alto Networks is the place to be because we are transitioning from Enterprise IT to Autonomous Operations. We are currently pioneering the use of AI to perform impact analysis across our entire application stack, moving toward a future where "zero-defect" releases are the standard, not the goal.
